### Subscription Plan Upgrade Details <a href="#toc152313963" id="toc152313963"></a>

* Customers can upgrade their Daton plan at any time through their account.
* The upgraded plan will take effect immediately.
* Any unused portion of the previous lower plan will be prorated and credited.
* The upgraded plan will be prorated and charged for the remainder of the current billing cycle.
* At the start of the next billing cycle, we will charge the total rate for the upgraded plan.

### How to Upgrade Your Subscription Plan <a href="#toc152313964" id="toc152313964"></a>

1. Log in to your Daton account.
2. Click on the profile icon in the page's top right corner.
3. In the dropdown menu, click **Subscription**.
4. Navigate to the **Overview** tab.
5. Click **Compare All Plans**. This will redirect you to the **Pricing** page.
6. Review the available plans and select the one you want to upgrade to. Follow the steps outlined in [How to Select and Subscribe to a Daton Subscription Plan?](https://daton-sarasanalytics.gitbook.io/daton/new-subscription-plans-and-billing/how-to-select-and-subscribe-to-a-daton-subscription-plan) to complete the upgrade.
7. Navigate back to the Subscription dashboard and then the **Requests** tab.
8. A new entry in the **All Requests** table reflects your upgrade request. This will include the following details:
   * Action: Plan change (for example, Growth2M -> Growth5M)
   * Request Date: The date you submitted the request
   * Execution Date: The date the upgrade will be implemented
   * Status: Processing (until the upgrade takes effect)

> * The system will automatically calculate any prorated charges and apply them to your account.
> * The upgraded plan will be effective immediately.

### Proration Specifics <a href="#toc152313965" id="toc152313965"></a>

* When upgrading a plan, the unused portion of the previous lower plan is prorated and credited.
* The upgraded plan is prorated and charged for the remainder of the current billing cycle.
  * The prorated amount will be deducted on the day of the upgrade.
  * Prorated amount = (New plan price for remaining days of the billing cycle) + (Previous plan price for Used up days of the Billing cycle) - previous plan price
* Proration ensures customers are only charged for the plan they used during each portion of the billing cycle.

### Subscription Plan Downgrade Details

Downgrading your Daton subscription plan allows you to adjust your data integration resources to better align with your current needs.

* Customers can request downgrades through their Daton account.
* Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.
* The unused portion of the current plan is not refunded but may be adjusted in future bills.

### Proration Specifics

* Proration for plan downgrade applies to all billing plans.
* The prorated amount is calculated based on the difference between the old and new plan prices and the remaining days in the billing cycle.
* Prorated charges are applied to the next billing cycle.

#### Specifics for Different Scenarios:

* Downgrading from monthly to annual:
  * The unused portion of the monthly cycle is prorated and credited.
  * The annual cycle starts immediately, and the prorated amount is adjusted in the first annual payment.
* Downgrading from annual to monthly:
  * The remaining months in the annual cycle are not refunded.
  * The monthly plan starts at the beginning of the next billing cycle.

> * You can cancel your subscription at any time.
> * Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle.
> * You can review the billing history and plan details in the Daton Subscription dashboard.

### How to Downgrade Your Subscription Plan

Perform the following steps on how to downgrade your Daton subscription plan:

1. Log in to your Daton account.
2. Click on the profile icon at the top right corner of your page.
3. In the dropdown menu, select **Subscription**.
4. In the Subscription dashboard, navigate to the **Overview** tab.
5. Click **Compare All Plans**. This will redirect you to the Pricing page.
6. Review the available plans and select the one you want to downgrade to.

8. Navigate back to the Subscription dashboard and then the **Requests** tab.
9. A new entry in the **All Requests** table reflects your downgrade request. This will include the following details:
   * Action: Plan change (for example, Growth5M -> Growth2M)
   * Request Date: The date you submitted the request
   * Execution Date: The date the downgrade will be implemented
   * Status: Processing (until the downgrade takes effect)
   * Options: **Cancel** button (available only for downgrades) will be available automatically. Click this button to cancel your downgrade request if needed.

> **Additional Note:**
>
> * Downgrades are scheduled to take effect at the end of your current billing cycle.
> * You can cancel your downgrade request at any time before it takes effect.
> * Once your plan is downgraded, you will no longer have access to the features and benefits of your previous plan.
