What’s New in Daton?

Platform Enhancements

Platform Optimisation: We have improved database performance of our platform by re-architecting our databases for improved availability and performance. User benefit from these changes to improve performance on job schedule and responsiveness of the user interface.

Alerts: The Alerts Panel in Daton acts as a one-stop shop for managing integration issues, streamlining the identification and resolution of problems. This feature is particularly beneficial for users dealing with a considerable number of integrations, as it saves valuable time in your data management workflow. Alerts are automatic messages that notify you about failing tables, integration errors, or warnings, providing clear resolution guidance.

Connector Enhancements

Amazon DSP (Revamp)

  • We have moved to the latest V3 API version.

  • We have also added a functionality that allows users to select brands during the integration setup process. This functionality resolves the limitation where DSP can only fetch up to 100 brands at a time

Amazon Selling Partner and Vendor Central

  • We have upgraded our system to better manage Amazon report statuses, including "inqueue," "fatal," "inprogress," and "cancelled." Previously, the system would retry fetching data a limited number of times before moving on, which sometimes led to missed data.

  • The new feature addresses this issue by storing reports with statuses such as "inqueue," "fatal," "inprogress," and "cancelled" and then retrying to fetch the data from the backend.

  • If we successfully retrieve data after retrying, the report is automatically removed from the stored list. If the status remains unchanged after retrying, the report stays in the stored list for further attempts. This process helps us handle errors from Amazon and ensures that we can fetch the data effectively.

  • Added support for inventory_snapshot table:

inventory_snapshot

Inventory_ snapshot captures the snapshot of the warehouse inventory you mention in the integration.

The data from inventory_snapshot will help in identifying the warehouse changes and inventory management.Owing to huge data and rate limits, the traditional APIs were failing to capture the warehouse data efficiently. But with this snapshot report we can get the data immediately. We are able to process more than 1.5 million records in 30 mins.

Magento_v2

  • Enhanced the connector to accommodate the empty data sets from the source and made it more stable.

  • In sales_order table of Magento, we encountered a data missing issue and we deep dived into it. We found that for few API calls Magento is responding back with 503 code and empty data. Currently to resolve this we are skipping the calls with 503 code as a temporary fix. We plan to engage with Magento to identify the root cause of the problem.

  • Added support for Events table:

Events

Events serve as records of various activities related to resources such as creating an article, fulfilling an order, or adding a product. Various events (from this table) are captured when the following actions occur:

  • Email: Covers order confirmation, cancellation, and shipping notifications.

  • Fulfilment: Tracks whether fulfilment was successful, failed, or is pending. Also includes cancellations, restocking, and updates on fulfillment status.

  • Order: Encompasses order placement, confirmation, closure, re-opening, and cancellation.

  • Refund: Monitors the success, failure, or pending status of refunds.

  • Sale: Indicates whether a sale was successful, failed, or is pending.

  • Authorisation: Reflects the success, failure, or pending status of authorisations.

Use cases: This table can also be used to fetch orders placed by internal teams, including standard orders, and to track replacement orders, among other things.

Note: This event data is retrieved for all orders, which are pulled from the customerjourneysummary_orders table. Due to the large volume of data in this table, the number of rows fetched can be substantial.
